The Emancipation Proclamation Celebration

The Gallia County Emancipation Proclamation Board of Directors is seeking your help to bring history to our community. It is our mission to make this event bigger than it has been in years. We want to be able to reach every family in this community with activities, education, entertainment, historical reenactments, church services, vendors, and most of all good food, good conversation and great times! The Board is pleased to announce that this year’s celebration will be held at the University of Rio Grande on Saturday, September 20, 2025 & Sunday, September 21, 2025.

This will be the 162 nd year for the Annual Emancipation Day Celebration to be held in Gallia County. All funds raised will be used towards accomplishing our organizational goals. We anticipate this to be our biggest celebration yet and we need your support!

Please consider supporting our event by choosing one of the sponsorship tiers below. In exchange, you will receive some excellent community exposure and advertising. Also, your company name and logo will be listed in the event program booklet that we will provide at the event as well as on social media.

Your donation is tax deductible and our non-profit Tax ID number is 31-1362400. If you need a receipt for this tax exemption we are happy to provide one for you.

We will gladly pick up your donation, or it can be mailed to Emancipation Celebration, P.O. Box 511 Gallipolis, OH
45631. For your organization to be included in advertising we must receive your donation by Friday, August 1, 2025.
