LARRY ELLIOTT
Larry Elliott has been portraying Abraham Lincoln for 22 years. Larry is from Hodgenville, KY, where little Abe was born. Larry is the same height (6 ft. 4 inches), thin and homily as well …. just like Abe. Larry’s Great, Great, Great Grandmother Mary Brooks Larue was the mid-wife who delivered little Abe on February 12th, 1809.
Larry has studied Mr. Lincoln extensively over those 22 years and his portrayals are very accurate in his speeches, gait and mannerisms. He has performed in over 1,000 schools in America, but mainly in Kentucky. He has performed in many other various type events like reenactments, corporate meet and greet (lots of photos with Abe) and many Republican dinners. Larry has won the annual Lincoln look alike-speech contest many times at Lincoln Days (1st Saturday every October) in Hodgenville, Ky. There are a lot of good Lincoln’s that enter that contest.
Larry loves to engage with all audiences large and small as Abe would do. Larry’s wife portrays Mary Todd Lincoln and her 1st name is actually Mary. They have a program that portrays their lives from when and where they were born all the way to Ford’s Theater. Larry can do most anything as Lincoln that an event planner would want. Every event is different and audiences can be quite different as well. Larry prepares himself for each event’s particular desires. Staying in character as Lincoln is a must with Larry for those attending must feel they are truly with Abraham Lincoln. I feel confident you will be pleased with my portrayal.
